Product Intern

 

Description:

We are seeking a bright intern that has a passion for social media and technology. This internship will give students an inside perspective into the Silicon Valley tech industry. This will provide them with real world experience that would look great on a college application or resume.


Juxta Labs has created a series of hit mobile gaming applications and messaging applications. We recently launched a group messaging app for teenagers that allows fun, easy messaging with friends and classmates.

This would be a remote internship with the ability to work from home. The hours will be flexible with an estimated 1 hour per week dedication.

Responsibilities:

Provide thoughtful insights and feedback on every aspect of Juxta Labs’s new application by conducting individual user testing, as well as with classmates and friends on: user experience, application flow, user adoption

Brainstorm for new social media app features and ideas

Test new social media apps and analyzing pros and cons of the app, its potential user base, and likelihood of success

Qualifications:

Currently attending High School (anywhere in the US or English speaking countries)

Involved with extracurricular activities (i.e. student government, sports teams, clubs) — leadership positions in extracurricular activities a plus!

Passion for social media

Experience and knowledge with current social media apps, including but not limited to Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Houseparty, etc.

Operations Manager

Description:

As an Operations Manager  you’ll be responsible running operations in our San Francisco office and taking on any task that frees the executive team to focus on their core mission. Jott is a fast-growing messaging startup with our headquarter office in SoMa. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem-solver who tackles tough projects with enthusiasm and a friendly disposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding new team members to the Jott HR system.
  • Assist in writing and distributing job descriptions for open positions at Jott.
  • Manage executive team meeting schedules and travel.
  • Plan company events including developer meetups, holiday parties, and Jott’s bi-annual offsite meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between our San Francisco and Utah offices and schedule travel for team members between the two.
  • Basic bookkeeping and bill paying.
  • Perform miscellaneous special projects for the CEO.
  • Maintain and build on our company culture with a focus on serving Jott users.
  • Schedule and manage product focus group sessions.
  • Use and test the latest versions of Jott and provide feedback to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • 2-5 years experience as an executive assistant, admin, or in operations.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Calendaring, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email.
  • Demonstrated interest in startups and mobile social apps.
  • Obsessive about order and organization (but in a friendly way).

Marketing Analyst Intern

Description:

Jott Messenger is looking for a bright hustler who is personally passionate about social media and popular trends. The intern will work closely with the growth team to develop new offline and online techniques for growth. Candidates must be excellent at taking a vision and rapidly creating and executing a plan. Must be able to take direction but also work independently. Must love learning new software platforms and skills.  In addition there will be an opportunity for the intern to gain insights into product process as our growth team works closely with our product team to help optimize new features for maximum real growth. In this process the intern will enjoy a place on the cutting edge of innovation in the social-mobile industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execution of growth projects
  2. Messaging Execution: Execution of user messaging
  3. Execution of data entry and manual asset creation tasks (will manage some outsourcing)
  4. Execution of manual data queries

 

Qualifications:

  1. Passion for social networks, popular culture, and media enjoyed by the high school and university demographic
  2. Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree
  3. Proficiency in basic business software (ms office, google docs)
  4. Good sense for when attention to detail is necessary or when an 80% solution will suffice
  5. A “no job is too small” mindset
  6. Passion for learning new skills

Mobile UX/UI Designer

iOS Engineer

 

Description:

Juxta is looking for an experienced iOS engineer to join its team.
Over 45 million people have installed our apps. We build consumer-facing social mobile apps and games targeted at teens. Sr. Android Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking to hire a great Android Mobile Application Developer to join our team at Juxta building Jott Messenger. This person must be fluent in Android development with successful experience delivering apps on the Android platform, and ideally will also have experience and expertise in iOS app development.

 

Responsibilities:

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
Integrate third-party libraries.
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and gen­eral reliability.
Fix bugs and continually improve application usability and performance.
Contribute to iOS app development and maintenance.
Ensure compatibility and feature parity between apps across platforms

 

Qualifications:

Experience developing and releasing apps on both Android and (ideally) iOS
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred
4+ years of software development experience
2+ years of Android development
Have published at least one original Android app
Excellent Java skills combined with extensive experience with the Android SDK
Fluent knowledge of UI elements and layout on the Android platform
Excellent understanding of working with remote data via web services (REST, JSON)
Experience integrating with third-party libraries and APIs
Experience handling push notifications highly desired
Good knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Strong object oriented design skills

Interface directly with lead developers and the product team to test apps and give technical feedback.
